Chicken Soup Hunt Info

Hunt for FREE Cans of Chicken Soup and one or more Bowls of Soup for $5-25L*

Organizers: Chickdey Parnes, Riana Eiren, Angelfire Teebrook

Application deadline: Dec. 5, 2011

*Each store in the hunt will have at least 1 free Can of Soup and up to five Bowls of Soup for $5L to $50L. Cans will always be free and Bowls will cost L.

The hunt will be running January 1-31, 2012. Deadline to submit an application is December 5, 2011 with a starting limit of 75 shops participating in a circular hunt. Positions are given on a first-come-first-served basis and at our discretion.

After the deadline, shops will be notified if they have been chosen to participate in the hunt and will be given additional instructions, signage and their hunt prims.

1. Original Creations: Only your own original creations may be used as hunt prizes; purchased elements (sculpties, textures, meshes) are fine, but no freebies, no business-in-a-box , and no downloaded art from the internet. Infringement of these requirements will result in removal from the hunt. Also the theme is Get Well Soon – it is not required that you make something themed but it is encouraged.

2. Prize requirements: Prizes must be new and exclusive for the duration of the hunt. An exclusive color of a recent release is fine; an entire new product is fantastic. The prize must be representative of what can be found in your store, and of similar quality. Make it something that the hunters will use, and want to come back to your store for more of. Hunt prizes must not be set for normal sale at any time during the hunt; afterwards is fine.2a. The “Soup Cans” must be set free at all times and each store must have at least one soup can prize.
2b. The “Soup Bowls” may be set for $5L -$50 L and each store may have up to five (5) bowls.

3. Hiding requirements: The hunt object MUST be within 30 meters of the landing point. If the location is in a mall or a large venue where teleports are fixed, then either a guiding track or within sim teleporter must be used to direct hunters to the proper store or area. In all cases a hunt sign needs to be installed at the correct location and the item must be within 30 meters of the sign. If the hunt item falls outside 30 meters then you may be asked to move it.

4. Hiding methods: The hunt object must be placed so that it can be found with normal camera methods. In other words, don’t fully embed the object inside of another prim, or fully surround it where it’s not visible without camming through prims. It can be high on the ceiling, or behind something, dropped into a vase, or even thrown up on the roof. Just as long as the hunters don’t have to cam into prims.

5. Resizing/ recoloring the hunt object- The object will be pretty small to start with, so please do not size it any smaller. Resizing larger is perfectly fine. Please do not recolor the hunt object.

6. Decoy objects / Multiple Objects – decoy objects are permitted, provided that they contain clues to finding the real object. However for the sake of sanity and since this hunt already has multiple prizes, please try not to go overboard.6a. Because this hunt will have multiple prizes, please name your soup can “CSH 1 of #” and put the total number of gifts you have hidden. Name each gift in the same pattern and include the landmark to the next stop in the hunt in EVERY prize.7. Hints, moving the object etc. – Hints are absolutely required and will be kept on the blog, http://slhunts.wordpress.com/
alongside the store number and the slurl to the next stop. Hint giving will also be encouraged in chat, as long as direct locations are not given. You are also encouraged to have some means of giving a hint at your location.7a. Moving the object is acceptable, but you are asked to to let us k
now that the item has moved so that we can update the blog, and please update your hint as well.7b. Initial Hint Forms will be required approximately 1 week from the time hunt objects are sent; this allows us to complete the walkthrough in a timely manner and be prepared for the start of the hunt.

8. Selling the Hunt object – This hunt has two kinds of prizes: Soup cans, which should be set to sell contents for 0$L. and optional Soup bowls, which may be set to sell for $5-25L. Each should contain your prize and a landmark to the next location. Sell contents rather than copy, unless you have a place for hunters to rez the item to get the LM to the next location out.

9. Problems: (missing signs, hunt objects not for sale, etc) any problems noticed will be notecarded and will need to be fixed within 24 hours. If any problems are not resolved within the allotted time period the location will be removed from the hunt to allow for smooth operation.

10. Each shop owner (or an alt) will need to join our group “Happy Hunters” to receive vendor status and so we can contact you easily. The avatar who joins should be able to take care of the hunt sign and hunt prims or any other issues we may need to take up with you.
